Directions
- In a small saucepan over medium heat, pour in 2 cups of your preferred milk. Warm the milk until it’s steaming hot but not boiling, about 3–5 minutes.
- Once the milk is heated, add 2 teaspoons of black tea leaves or 2 tea bags to the saucepan. Allow to steep for 4–5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- After steeping, carefully remove the tea leaves or tea bags from the saucepan. Reduce heat to low to meld flavors without boiling.
- With heat still on low, stir in 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract, 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon, 2 tablespoons of honey, and a pinch of salt.
- Continue to gently heat the mixture for 2–3 minutes, stirring to incorporate all ingredients well.
- Pour the tea into your favorite cups. Optionally, top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon.
