  • 1 cup Warm Milk heated to about 110°F
  • 2 teaspoons Active Dry Yeast
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 whole Whole Egg room temperature
  • 1 large Egg Yolk room temperature
  • 1/2 cup Salted Butter melted
  • 4 cups Bread Flour or all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons Ground Cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar light or dark
Filling
  • 1/2 cup Softened Butter
Frosting
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese softened
  • 2 cups Powdered Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Vanilla Bean Paste or vanilla extract

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Warm your milk to about 110°F, combine with yeast and a teaspoon of sugar. Let sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a stand mixer, combine the frothy milk mixture with sugar, whole egg, egg yolk, and melted butter. Gradually mix in the flour and cinnamon.
  3. Knead the dough on medium speed for about 8 minutes until soft and slightly sticky. Shape into a ball.
  4. Place dough in an oiled bowl, cover with a towel, and let rise for 1 to 1.5 hours until doubled in size.
  5. Roll out the dough into a rectangle, spread with softened butter, and sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon. Press into the butter.
  6. Roll the dough tightly into a log shape and slice into 9-10 pieces. Place in a greased baking pan and let rise for another 30-45 minutes.
  7. Preheat oven to 350°F and bake rolls for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Mix frosting ingredients until smooth. Spread over warm rolls immediately after baking.
