  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and butter and flour a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream 1/2 cup of softened butter and 1 cup of sugar using an electric mixer.
  3. Add 2 beaten eggs and 1 3/4 cups of mashed bananas, along with 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, and mix until combined.
  4. Whisk together 1 1/2 cups of flour, 1 teaspoon of baking soda, and 1/4 teaspoon of salt, then gradually mix into the wet ingredients.
  5. Fold in 3/4 cup of chocolate chips and pour into the prepared loaf pan, topping with reserved chocolate chips.
