  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper Adjust according to taste
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil For grilling, avocado oil is a substitute
For the Garlic Yogurt Sauce
  • 1 cup Plain Yogurt Can use coconut yogurt for lactose-free
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Juice Can substitute with vinegar
  • 2 cloves Optional Garlic Adjust to taste for extra flavor

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground chicken, finely chopped onion, minced garlic, and chopped fresh parsley. Mix thoroughly, ensuring not to overwork the mixture.
  2. Sprinkle in ground cumin, ground coriander, and season with salt and black pepper. Fold spices into the chicken mixture evenly.
  3. Wet your hands lightly, take a portion of the mixture, and shape it into oval patties. Aim for about 10-12 koftas.
  4. Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat and brush with olive oil.
  5. Grill the kofta for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through to an internal temperature of 75°C (165°F).
  6. While grilling, whisk together yogurt, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt. Optionally, add minced garlic.
  7. Serve warm chicken kofta drizzled with the creamy garlic yogurt sauce.
