Preparation Steps
- In a sealable container or mason jar, combine 1/2 cup of old-fashioned oats, 2 teaspoons of chia seeds, 2 tablespoons of light brown sugar, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Stir gently to distribute evenly.
- In a separate bowl, mix 2 teaspoons of instant coffee with 2/3 cup of your choice of milk until completely dissolved. Pour this mixture over the dry ingredients in your container.
- Stir everything together thoroughly to ensure the oats, chia seeds, sugar, coffee, and milk are well combined.
- Cover your container and place it in the refrigerator for at least 3 hours, preferably overnight.
- When ready to enjoy, remove from the fridge and stir well. Adjust consistency with a splash of milk if necessary.
- Top your oats with desired toppings such as whipped cream, chocolate syrup, or cocoa powder. Serve immediately.
