Optional Add-ins
  • 1/4 cup Chopped Green Onions Fresh, sharp flavor
  • 1/4 cup Jalapeños For added spice
  • 1 cup Crushed Tortilla Chips For crunch

Equipment

  • large skillet

Method

Preparation Steps
  1. In a large skillet, heat over medium heat and add the ground beef. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, breaking it apart with a spatula until no pink remains. Drain excess fat.
  2. Sprinkle taco seasoning over the browned beef, then pour in 1/4 cup of water. Stir to combine and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  3. Warm flour tortillas in a skillet for about 30 seconds per side or quickly in the microwave by wrapping them in a damp paper towel for 15-20 seconds.
  4. Lay the warm tortillas flat and place a scoop of cooked rice in the center of each. Add seasoned beef, nacho cheese sauce, shredded cheddar, and a dollop of sour cream. Optional toppings can be added.
  5. Fold the sides of the tortillas inwards and roll them tightly from the bottom to the top, ensuring fillings are secure inside.
  6. In the same skillet, place the burritos seam-side down. Cook for about 1-2 minutes on each side over medium heat until golden and crispy.
  7. Remove burritos from skillet, let cool for a minute, then serve hot with salsa or guacamole.
