Ingredients

Base Ingredients
  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened at room temperature
  • 1/2 cup cranberry sauce store-bought or homemade
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup for vegan
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract optional
  • 1 pinch salt optional if using salted butter

Equipment

  • Mixing Bowl
  • Hand mixer
  • Spatula
  • airtight container

Method

Directions
  1. Soften the butter: Take 1 cup of unsalted butter out of the refrigerator and allow it to soften at room temperature for about 30 minutes.
  2. Combine ingredients: In a medium bowl, mix the softened butter, 1/2 cup of cranberry sauce, 1/4 cup of honey (or maple syrup), and a pinch of salt. Optionally add 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Blend until smooth, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Taste and adjust: After mixing, taste and adjust flavor by adding more honey for sweetness or more cranberry sauce for tartness.
  4. Transfer and chill: Transfer the mixture into a decorative dish or airtight container, smooth the top, cover tightly, and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  5. Serve and enjoy: After chilling, your Christmas Cranberry Honey Butter is ready to serve alongside warm biscuits, toast, or pancakes.
