  • 5 oz Pepperoni thick-cut slices recommended
  • 1 medium Onion diced
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced

  • 2 tsp Italian Seasoning add crushed red pepper for heat
  • 1 cup Tomato Sauce thicker sauce recommended
  • 1 can Crushed Tomatoes
  • 2 tbsp Tomato Paste
  • 1 tsp Sugar to balance acidity
For the Cheese Topping
  • 2 cups Cheese mix of mozzarella and cheddar; add Parmesan for depth

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9-inch pie dish with cooking spray or butter.
  2. Roll out your pie crust and place it in the greased dish, pricking the bottom with a fork. Blind-bake for 7-8 minutes until lightly golden.
  3. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef and Italian sausage until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess grease.
  4. Add diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté for 2-3 minutes until the onion is translucent. Stir in Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper, then mix in ½ cup of pizza sauce.
  5. Spread a thin layer of pizza sauce over the bottom of your crust. Layer half of the meat mixture, followed by half of the pepperoni and cheese. Repeat these layers.
  6. Bake the assembled pie uncovered for 25-30 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbling. Cover edges with foil if they darken too quickly.
  7. Let the pie rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Enjoy!
