  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable oil For frying
  • to taste Soy sauce For dipping

Equipment

  • Large mixing bowl
  • Skillet
  • Spatula

Method

Preparation
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine diced shrimp, ground pork, shredded cabbage, green onions, ginger, sesame oil, mirin, kosher salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until combined.
  2. Lay out wonton wrappers on a flat surface. Spoon about 1 tablespoon of shrimp filling into each. Wet edges and fold into a half-moon shape, sealing well.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Test oil by dropping in a small piece of wrapper; it should sizzle.
  4. Fry dumplings in a single layer for 2-3 minutes until golden brown. Flip and cook the other side for another 2-3 minutes.
  5. Transfer cooked dumplings to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Serve hot with soy sauce or your favorite dipping sauce.
