Kielbasa and Vegetables
  • 1 lb Kielbasa or Smoked Sausage consider using turkey or chicken sausage for a lighter version
  • 1 lb Fresh Green Beans you can use canned green beans added in the last hour of cooking
  • 1 lb Baby Potatoes regular waxy potatoes chopped into uniform pieces work just as well
  • 1 medium Onion, chopped sautéing it before adding enhances flavor
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced garlic powder can be used as a substitute
  • 1 cup Low-Sodium Chicken Broth vegetable broth can easily replace it
  • 2 tablespoons Butter, cut into pieces recommended for enhanced flavor
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Smoked Paprika (optional) omit if you prefer less heat
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt adjust to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper adjust to taste
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh Parsley, chopped (optional) can substitute with other fresh herbs
  • 1 tablespoon Parmesan Cheese, grated (optional) other hard cheeses can be used as alternatives

Cooking Procedure
  1. Prep Ingredients: Chop the kielbasa into bite-sized pieces, dice the onion, trim the green beans, and halve the baby potatoes.
  2. Layer in Slow Cooker: Place chopped kielbasa at the bottom, followed by halved potatoes, onion, and green beans on top.
  3. Season: Sprinkle minced garlic, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper evenly over ingredients.
  4. Add Broth and Butter: Pour chicken broth over the mixture and scatter pieces of butter on top.
  5. Cook: Cover and set to cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours until potatoes are tender.
  6. Stir Gently: Halfway through cooking, gently stir the mixture to combine the ingredients.
  7. Finish: Serve warm, garnished with fresh parsley and Parmesan cheese if desired.
