Cooking Steps
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente, around 8-10 minutes. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water, then drain.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add diced chicken, season with salt and pepper, and sauté for 6-8 minutes until golden brown.
- In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Reduce the heat to low, stir in pesto sauce, and warm through for about 2 minutes.
- Gradually pour in heavy cream while stirring, cooking on low for another 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Fold in cooked pasta and sautéed chicken gently. Heat everything together for 2-3 minutes.
- Serve with a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese and fresh basil leaves.
