Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté chopped onion for about 3 minutes.
  3. Add minced garlic and ground beef, cooking until browned, about 6-8 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, and optional paprika.
  4. In a mixing bowl, whisk together cream of mushroom soup and beef broth until smooth.
  5. Spread cooked rice evenly across the bottom of the greased baking dish.
  6. Layer the seasoned beef mixture over the rice evenly.
  7. Pour the creamy soup and broth mixture over the beef layer.
  8. Generously sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top.
  9. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Then uncover and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
  10. Let casserole rest for 5 minutes before serving.
