- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch casserole dish.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef and diced onion for 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.
- Add minced garlic to the skillet and cook for an additional 30 seconds.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the cream of mushroom soup, milk or beef broth, paprika, salt, and pepper. Pour over beef mixture and stir to combine.
- Stir in cooked rice and half of the shredded cheddar cheese.
- Transfer the mixture to the casserole dish and top with remaining cheddar cheese.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake uncovered for another 10 minutes until cheese is bubbly.
- Broil for 2 minutes for a crispy finish.
- Garnish with chopped parsley if desired. Serve warm.
