  • 1 can Refrigerated Biscuits Pillsbury Buttermilk Southern Homestyle recommended
  • 6-8 strips Bacon Cook until crispy
For the Egg Mixture
  • 6 large Eggs At room temperature
  • 1 cup Cream Whole milk can be used as a substitute
For the Flavor Boost
  • 1 cup Cheddar Cheese Grated
  • 1/4 cup Green Onions Chopped
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
For Topping
  • 1/4 cup Additional Cheese Sprinkle on top before final bake
  • reserved Bacon For topping

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Grate 1 cup of cheddar cheese and chop green onions. Cook 6-8 strips of bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy, about 7-10 minutes.
  2. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  3. Lightly spray a 9x13" baking dish with baking spray.
  4. Cut the refrigerated biscuits into quarters and spread them evenly across the bottom of the baking dish.
  5. Layer the crumbled bacon pieces over the biscuit base.
  6. Sprinkle 1 cup of the grated cheese over the layered bacon.
  7. In a large bowl, whisk together 6 large eggs, 1 cup of cream, chopped green onions, and salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Pour the egg mixture evenly over the layered ingredients.
  9. Bake the casserole in the preheated oven for 25 minutes.
  10. Add reserved bacon and remaining cheese on top, cover with foil, and return to the oven for another 10 minutes.
  11. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
